A Portland man will spend years in prison after agreeing to a plea deal for a slew of sex crimes.
Antonio Arredondo Jr., 39, pleaded guilty Nov. 18 to seven charges of rape in the first degree, sodomy in the first degree and sex abuse in the first degree, the Washington County District Attorney’s Office said in a statement.
As part of his plea deal, Arredondo accepted a 40-year prison sentence, officials said. His formal sentencing will take place next year.
The guilty plea “brings an end to this defendant’s predatory behavior and delivers long-overdue accountability,” Washington County Deputy District Attorney Rayney Meisel said in the statement.
