CHAPIN, S.C. (WIS) - The Town of Chapin said Wednesday that its town council voted to remove the town administrator position.
Officials confirmed the development in a statement posted to the town’s Facebook page. The decision came during a special-called meeting on Tuesday that was held in executive session, meaning it was not open to the public.
According to the statement, the move also reflects the town’s transition toward a full-time mayor in Bill Mitchell, who was elected on Nov. 4.
“The town council unanimously updated the town’s organizational structure, removing the town administrator position. These changes reflect Chapin’s transition to its first full-time mayor and align operations with this new model of governance,” the statement said.
