MUSKEGON COUNTY, Mich. —

The Muskegon County mother charged with manslaughter after prosecutors say she sat on her daughter until she was unconscious, killing her, is back in jail after initially posting bond.

Sherry Leak faces 15 years in prison if she’s convicted of killing her daughter , Mialah Leak.

During her arraignment on Nov. 25, Leak’s bond was set at $100,000 cash or surety. Court records show she posted that bond the same day.

There were concerns about that initial amount during the arraignment on Tuesday, with Judge Maria Ladas Hoopes saying she did not know how Leak would respond to the severity of the charges and if she would return to court or not.
