The Warren County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help as investigators work to combat a sharp increase in AT&T wire theft across the county.

Officials say the entire county, including areas inside city limits, has seen a rise in line interruptions caused by thieves damaging and stealing communication lines. These thefts can disrupt internet and home phone service for homes and businesses, often late at night.

Residents are urged to stay alert and call 911 immediately if they see anything suspicious. Examples include: • A truck parked on the side of the road at night with a ladder
