Parts of the UK will be plunged under multiple inches of snow next week as the freezing wintry temperatures continue. On December 1, maps from WXCharts turn white as flurries of snow descend on northern England and Scotland, marking the start of another polar blast . Stretching from the top of Scotland down to Newcastle, a band of the white stuff will hit the UK at 3am, with up to 10mm per hour expected. In the northern Highlands , the snow is expected to settle with maps showing up to 2 inches on the ground.
