New England Patriots kicker Andy Borregales was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week after a perfect outing against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Borregales connected on all four of his field goal attempts including makes from 41, 45, 19, and 52 yards. The final kick from distance played a key role in New England securing a wide-20 road victory.
“Andy making the kick and making it a touchdown game allowed us just enough time to get them stopped on fourth down,” head coach Mike Vrabel said. “We appreciate what he’s done. I think he has a lot of confidence there and in the operation.”
On the year, Borregales, who the Patriots selected in the sixth-round of this year’s draft, is now 19-of-21 on field goal attempts with his 90.5 percentage tied for seventh among all kickers. He has also con
