OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - The man arrested Monday in connection with the shooting of a 19-year-old who was in the back of a rideshare vehicle last week appeared in court today.
Keshaun Williams, 21, is charged with 2nd-degree assault, unlawful discharge of a firearm, discharge of a firearm near a vehicle and use of a firearm to commit a felony.
Omaha police allege Williams shot and wounded a 19-year-old while he was sitting in the back of a rideshare vehicle on Nov. 18 near 47th and Fort Streets.
The driver stopped the car near 52nd and Hartman Avenue.
The man was taken to Nebraska Medicine.
Williams is also charged with operating a motor vehicle to avoid arrest, as police said he tried to flee from them near 69th and Bedford Avenue by driving through the front yard of a house and nearly s
