HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- An investigation into a missing person case is underway after a body was found in northwest Harris County, according to the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable's Office.

Deputies responded to the scene in the 9600 block of Cypresswood Drive at Cutten Road on Wednesday.

Authorities said that multiple agencies responded to the scene, including EquuSearch, looking for a missing person when a body was found near the creek.

Deputies said that two weeks ago, a man described as being somewhere in his 50s and 60s was reportedly missing by a friend who lives nearby. Authorities said the missing man was visiting from out of town. It is still unclear if the body is that of the missing person, but it matches the clothing description, according to law enforcement.
