NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (WFSB) - There’s a potential “wrongful death” lawsuit coming together in the case of an 11-year-old girl who was found dead in a container in New Britain.
The remains of Jacqueline Torres-Garcia were discovered in a plastic tote at an abandoned home last month. Officials estimated that she had been dead for about a year.
Jacqueline’s mother, aunt, and her mother’s boyfriend were arrested in connection with the murder.
We’ve learned a law firm has since opened a probate case for the estate of Jacqueline Torres-Garcia.
