CAROLINE COUNTY, Va. (WWBT) - Four French bulldogs are safe after being stolen at gunpoint over the weekend.
The Caroline County Sheriff’s Office said Ronald James, of Newport News, posed as someone interested in buying the dogs.
James and the seller met at the Ladysmith Food Lion parking lot on Nov. 23, where deputies said James pulled out a gun and stole all four bulldogs.
On Tuesday, Nov. 25, investigators found James in a Hampton home where he was arrested. All of the dogs were also found in the house safe.
The bulldogs are currently in the care of Hampton Animal Control before they are given back to their owner.
James was charged with armed robbery and multiple gun charges with additional charges pending.
