WASHINGTON, D.C. (WWBT) - A Virginia high school assistant principal and his brother were arrested after allegedly plotting to kill ICE agents, according to the Department of Homeland Security.
On Nov. 17, the Virginia Beach Police Department launched an investigation after an off-duty Norfolk police officer overheard John Wilson Bennett and his brother Mark Booth Bennett talking about plans to “kill police officers and ICE agents.”
Mark was also overheard saying he was going to Las Vegas, Nevada to meet up with like-minded individuals and buy guns with “explosive rounds” to carry out the plot.
On Nov. 19, Mark was arrested at the Norfolk International Airport where he was scheduled to get on a flight to Charlotte, North Carolina, en route to Las Vegas.
