Authorities say a 50-year-old Brooklyn man tried to kill a fellow E train rider Saturday, stabbing him during an argument over a noisy cellphone conversation.

Johnny Wood has been charged with attempted murder, assault and weapons offenses over the incident, which Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz said happened around 11 a.m. at the Jamaica Center-Parsons/Archer station.

Katz said the 54-year-old victim was at the center of the train waiting to depart, when he asked Wood to stop talking loudly on his cellphone.

Wood then took out a knife and stabbed the victim once in the ribcage area before getting off the train, the DA said. Authorities say Wood fled after the altercation, but was arrested in Brooklyn Tuesday.
