Two National Guard soldiers were shot in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday, Nov. 26.
According to the Associated Press , the shooting occurred near the White House.
West Virginia Gov. Patrick Morrisey posted on X at 3:42 p.m. that the two Guardsmen, both from his state, had died, but about a half hour later said he was receiving "conflicting reports about the condition of our two Guard members."
"Our prayers are with these brave service members, their families, and the entire Guard community," said Morrisey.
