A nasal spray that may be contaminated with a bacteria normally associated with cow’s milk has been recalled.

Walgreens voluntarily recalled 41,328 bottles of its saline nasal spray with xylitol, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration .

The 1.5-ounce bottles were distributed nationwide.

The FDA said the spray is recalled because of "Microbial contamination of a non-sterile product - microorganism found to be Pseudomonas lactis."

The lots recalled are 71409, with an expiration date of Feb. 28, 2027, and 71861 with an expiration date of Aug. 31, 2027.

The FDA said this is a Class II recall, which means the contamination could cause temporary health problems. Serious health consequences are considered unlikely.
