FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Officials with the City of Fort Wayne and Allen County are reminding residents that their offices will be closed on Thursday and Friday for the Thanksgiving holiday.

City officials say residential garbage and recycling collection will be shifted back one day for the remainder of the week, and there will be no leaf collection on Thursday or Friday.

According to county officials, there will be no legislative session on Friday.

County officials note that offices, including the Allen County Juvenile Center, Allen County Youth Services Center, Allen County Community Corrections, Allen County Sheriff’s Department, and Allen County Highway Department, that provide 24/7 functions do not close for holidays.
