The attorney for a woman detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in Revere, Massachusetts, says she is doing OK after her arrest several weeks ago.

Bruna Ferreira, 33, who is the mother of White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt's nephew, is currently in custody at an ICE facility in southern Louisiana.

"She's doing OK, but obviously very traumatized by this and wants to be home for Thanksgiving like everybody else with their family," Ferreira's attorney, Jeffrey Rubin, said.

Ferreira migrated with her family to the United States from Brazil as a child, coming to the U.S. under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, an Obama-era program that shielded immigrants brought to the country from deportation.
