That’s a special number for me.
Why?
It’s the number of people inside the city limits of Poulsbo who voted for me for mayor in the election on Nov. 4.
Yeah, I was the runner-up. Runner-ups don’t usually come with fanfare or glory. Still, I consider myself a “winner.” As I expected, the experience came with new friends, lessons learned, and fresh stories to tell.
I'm writing this column after a hiatus from being published in the Sun during the campaign. I’m beyond grateful to David Nelson and the Kitsap Sun for allowing me to come back and share my thoughts on business and life with you.
And that’s what this month is all about, right? Being thankful and grateful.
