MILTON, Vt. (WCAX) - An American classic car has been reimagined at an unassuming auto shop off the side of the road in Milton.
From the outside, the Rothspeed auto shop in Milton looks pretty unassuming. But on the inside, it’s anything but. They’re making a work of art on wheels.
It may look like a 1966 Corvette Stingray, but this one didn’t roll off the assembly line six decades ago. With a closer look, it’s a Splitray — a beautiful reimagining of the classic car. It’s the brainchild of Scott Roth, the owner of Rothspeed.
“We started with a 1966 Corvette Stingray, and we decided to make it wider right down the middle of the car. So, while we were doing that, we looked at the emblem — it’s a stingray. We cut it in half, move it apart, and that’s where the Splitray was born,” Roth sai
