KALAMAZOO, MI — The city of Kalamazoo has shared the locations of warming centers in preparation for the cold weather season.
The city encourages homeless residents to take shelter from the cold to to avoid serious problems like hypothermia.
The city provided a list of area shelters, which allow overnight stays, and warming centers, for daytime use:
Overnight shelters
Ministry with Community, 500 N. Edwards St., in Kalamazoo. Open Dec. 1, through the end of March, 2026. Adults only. No pets. Call Housing Resource Inc. at 269-382-0287 x1 during normal business hours to register.
