SCRANTON, Pa. — The ruffle of paper bags being passed from volunteer to volunteer filled the inside of the Scranton Cultural Center on Wednesday morning.

"We are, as you can see, putting some bags together, carrots, potatoes, pies, getting them into the bags, pushing them down the line. It's like an assembly line. Everyone has their own job, and it's great," said volunteer Kevin Grebas.

"We had probably, you know, 75 people show up at 6 a.m. this morning, and then there was another group that came in at 7 a.m., and then another group that came in. So we've probably already had 350 volunteers cycle through here," said Linda Robeson, organizer of the Family to Family Food Basket Program.
