A horse and carriage crashed into a creek along the 200 block of Springhill Road in Little Britain Township on Tuesday, Nov. 25, at 4:40 p.m., according to dispatch.
Responders found the carriage resting in the creek bed with one injured person nearby, rescue crews said. EMS from Squad 89 assumed patient care while volunteers worked to free the horse from its harness, the release detailed.
The horse was safely walked up and out of the creek before responders removed the damaged carriage, authorities said. The patient’s condition has not been released.
RFFC volunteers cleared the scene at 5:17 p.m., with 15 members responding to the call, according to the fire company.
