AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday that a 16-year-old was taken into custody after a stolen-vehicle chase.

Deputies attempted a traffic stop on a stolen vehicle on Johns Road near Walton Way, which led to a vehicle pursuit.

Officials say the vehicle crashed at the end of Johns Road, onto the Augusta Country Club.

After a short foot pursuit by officers, the teen was taken into custody, according to officials.

An ambulance responded to the scene to examine the teen.
