FARMVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - The ‘Ripe for Revival’ mobile food market stopped on Main Street for lunch today.
This gave residents some options for gathering healthy foods for Thanksgiving.
Organizers say the market is a ‘take what you need, pay what you can’ deal, with crops grown by local farmers.
Customers received sweet potatoes, squash, apples, eggs, and different types of meat.
“When you do come to our markets, let everyone know about us,” said ECU intern Robert Sanderlin. “Our biggest objective is to really get into the community and spread out and help as many people as we can.”
They post their travel schedule on their website and social media pages. You can find them by searching ‘Ripe for Revival.’
