One minute you’re debating Halloween candy, the next you’re knee-deep in turkey talk and wondering if you bought enough potatoes. But while many of us fuss over gravy lumps and pie crusts, others worry about something much more basic. This season reminds us that giving back is not just a holiday slogan. It’s a real chance to lift up neighbors who could use a hand. Across Massachusetts, people are stepping forward with full hearts and busy hands. Their goal is simple. Share a good meal. Share hope. And make Thanksgiving count.

For 23 years, the Sociedade Cultural Acoriana has ensured no one in Greater Fall River goes without a Thanksgiving meal. This year, volunteers hope to feed nearly 1,000 neighbors in need, and they’re asking for the community’s help to make it happen.

Allston-Brighton Food Pantry Rallies to Provide Thanksgiving Turkeys as Local Families Face Rising Hardship

As financial strain hits more families in Allston-Brighton, the local food pantry is racing to raise funds to purchase Thanksgiving turkeys for its growing number of visitors. 

Money collected after Thanksgiving will go to help feed members of the community who may not know where their next meal is coming from. 

Local Family Aims to Deliver 200 Thanksgiving Meals to BIDMC NICU Families and Staff 

A Boston-area family is raising $1,200 to provide 200 Thanksgiving meals to parents spending the holiday in the NICU at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, along with the nurses and staff who care for them. Inspired by their own daughter’s NICU journey, they’re continuing their annual tradition of bringing warmth, gratitude, and a moment of comfort to families facing uncertainty.

Revere Community Rallies to Fight Holiday Hunger 

A Revere resident is calling on the community to help feed local families facing food insecurity this Thanksgiving, launching a GoFundMe to help with the food drive to ensure no neighbor goes without a holiday meal.
