PEORIA ( 25News Now ) - The Peoria Historical Society’s Holiday Home Tour is returning, offering visitors a chance to step inside six of the city’s most historic homes.

The tour features two homes in the Uplands, two on Moss Avenue, the Flanagan House and the Hallberg Home on Bigelow.

The decorations range from classic Christmas looks to themed designs like a Jane Austen-inspired Flanagan House.

Organizers said the annual event is more than just holiday decor — it is a way to explore Peoria’s history that visitors typically do not see.

“It helps the community just to get out and see what we’re all about, see what Peoria is all about, see what the beautiful historic homes, what stories they have to tell because chances are you’re not going to have that opportunity again,” said Susie P
