AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Shoppers making last-minute runs for Thanksgiving essentials found significant price differences across Augusta grocery stores on Wednesday.

A price comparison of butter, eggs, milk, bread and cranberry sauce showed Aldi offered the lowest total at $8.94, while Publix had the highest at $17.21 for the same items.

“I forgot the cranberry sauce,” said Tyrone Smith, a shopper who made a last-minute trip. “I can’t sit there and eat no dressing dry.”

Whether you’re the family chef or the designated errand runner, there’s always something we’re missing. On Wednesday, it was a mad dash to get it all done.
