TONOPAH, AZ (AZFamily) — A driver is recovering in the hospital after a semi-truck rollover caused a brief closure in the far West Valley on Wednesday morning.
Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) troopers responded to the reported crash around 5:15 a.m. on Interstate 10 eastbound near 411th Avenue in Tonopah.
The semi-truck rolled on its side, trapping the driver inside. Troopers say the driver was pulled out by emergency crews and taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
I-10 eastbound was closed near 411th Avenue, but reopened shortly after 7:30 a.m. Westbound traffic was unaffected.
Troopers are still working to determine what caused the rollover.
