Police and family members are searching for a 15-year-old boy who ran away from his home in The Villages at Rancho El Dorado this morning.

The teen, whose name was not immediately released, stands 5-foot-7 with a slim build and weighs about 140 pounds, said his mother, Chauntia Ervin. He left on foot and does not have his phone with him.

Ervin described her son as “high risk” and the situation as “urgent.”

Family members have already searched the surrounding neighborhood, and the Maricopa Police Department has filed a missing person report. Ervin said her son changed his clothes before leaving. Police later located his duffel bag containing the clothes he was previously wearing, leaving the family unsure how he is currently dressed.
