Two people were injured when a pickup truck reportedly struck them while they attempted to cross a road in Tortosa on Tuesday night.
Just before 8 p.m., two adult pedestrians tried to cross Terragona Boulevard in front of Desert Wind Middle School when they were hit by a vehicle making a turn, a Maricopa Police Department spokesperson told InMaricopa .
A woman suffered “serious injuries” and was taken to a hospital, the spokesperson said. The second pedestrian, an unidentified man, was treated on scene for scrapes and bruises.
