A Palm Bay man is facing charges after he allegedly attacked a boy for fishing on his property.
Wesley Boyd, 46, was arrested and charged with child abuse after an alleged altercation with a juvenile. It happened Monday in the Bayside Lakes community.
Boyd approached the boy and told him to leave his property, according to an arrest affidavit. The boy told officers he began to walk away when Boyd grabbed him from behind and around his neck, hit him in his right knee and caused him to fall, according to the report.
The affidavit said multiple juvenile witnesses were interviewed separately by police and gave the same account. They told officers Boyd came out screaming at the boy, then grabbed him from behind, hit him in the back of the leg and threw him to the ground.
