Tweed-New Haven Airport is taking steps to avoid the congestion that plagued the airport during the busy holiday travel season last year.

Airport leadership said the new goal is keep traffic flowing within the airport campus to allow drivers to be able to get in and out as fast as possible. The ultimate goal is to alleviate backup overflow on nearby streets.

“We're constantly adjusting, constantly refining the process within the infrastructure that we have,” said Tom Cavaliere, Director of Community Engagement for Tweed-New Haven Airport
