There will apparently be at least one change to the Colorado football coaching staff in 2026.

On Wednesday, NFL insider Jordan Schultz reported that CU running backs coach Marshall Faulk has accepted a job to be the head coach at Southern University.

According to Schultz, Faulk has agreed to a three-year deal with an option to coach the Tigers. Kevin Batiste of WAFB TV in Louisiana was first to report Faulk had a done deal with the HBCU school.

Batiste reported that Southern will make an official announcement of the hire on Monday. According to a BuffZone source, it is expected that Faulk will coach the Buffs during their season finale at Kansas State on Saturday (10 a.m. MT, FS1).

Southern is located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, not far from Faulk’s home town of New Orleans.
