OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - A local Christmas tree company says demand for real trees has grown significantly in recent years as families choose fresh trees over artificial alternatives.
Austin Cirian, co-owner of Cirian’s Christmas Tree Company , said business has increased substantially over the past decade.
“For whatever reason, the last ten or so years, people have just wanted that actual, you know, fresh, good-smelling Christmas tree,” Cirian said.
The company has seen dramatic sales growth compared to previous years. Cirian said they used to sell 50 to 75 trees before Thanksgiving, but this year they sold 250 to 300 trees in just one week.
High demand expected through weekend
Cirian expects most of their inventory will be gone by the end of the week and anticipates selling about 200
