TEXARKANA (KSLA) - The 1987 graduation class of Texarkana Arkansas High School served a free community meal Tuesday, one day before Thanksgiving.

“Because everything we have is free, we want everybody to take advantage of this,” says Pam Warren, organizer.

Arkansas alum Dennis Johnson Sr. said he had been cooking for two weeks in preparation for the event.

“Like I said, it brings me joy. Like I said, my heart beats different from your heart, and it brings me joy to see someone else happy,” says Dennis Johnson, organizer.

Johnson said they were prepared to distribute around 250 plates to anyone in the community who wanted a hot meal.
