LAHAINA, Hawaii - The Washington State Cougars (3-5) ended their Maui Invitational run with a 1-2 record after a 75-61 defeat to the Seton Hall Pirates (7-1).
Rihards Vavers led the Cougs in scoring with 17 off the bench, hitting three three-pointers and grabbing six rebounds, a team-high, too.
Seton Hall's AJ Staton-McCray crushed WSU with 20 points shooting well over 50% from the field, helping the Pirates to their third-straight game hitting more than half of their shots.
Wazzu stays on the road next, playing at the Bradley Braves next Tuesday, December 2, at 5:00 p.m. PST.
