Kevin Fiala gave thanks to his community on Wednesday.
The Los Angeles Kings forward hosted families from Children’s Hospital Los Angeles for a Thanksgiving lunch and skate at the team’s practice complex in El Segundo, California as part of his Fiala’s Friends charity initiative.
Fiala skated with the kids on the ice and even got a boost from a few on one of the ice trainers.
After the skate, the Kings forward put on a festive apron and served lunch to the families.
He also gave them a tour of the Kings locker room.
Fiala has used his charity initiative to host youth camps and charity games. This summer Fiala’s Friends held a charity game in his home country, Switzerland, with the proceeds benefiting the Children’s Hospital of St. Gallen, in his hometown.
