MICHIGAN, USA — Thousands lost power Wednesday night, just hours before the Thanksgiving holiday, due to a winter storm.
According to the Consumers Energy Outage Map, over 18,000 customers in West Michigan were without power as of 10:20 p.m.
Most of those outages are along the lakeshore.
Consumers did previously tell 13 On Your Side that they had planned for outages due to the incoming weather and had additional crews ready to respond.
The outage map estimates most customers will have power restored by morning.
