HARTFORD, CT. (WFSB) - The Hartford Wolf Pack concluded their six-game homestand with a 6-3 loss against the Springfield Thunderbirds Wednesday night.
For the third straight head-to-head meeting, the Thunderbirds scored first.
Otto Stenberg collected a loose puck in front of the Wolf Pack net and scored at 1:29 for his first goal in 13 games. The goal gave the visitors the lead for the rest of the contest.
Matthew Peca extended the lead to 2-0 on the power play. Chris Wagner’s shot was denied by Callum Tung, but Peca found the rebound on the right-wing side and scored his third goal of the season.
Aleksanteri Kaskimäki made it 3-0 just 1:36 into the second period, scoring from the left-wing circle for his third goal of the season.
