NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee announced it would be matching donations on Giving Tuesday.
The food bank said food insecurity is rising across Middle and West Tennessee, with Second Harvest seeing a 46% increase in neighbors seeking food assistance compared to this time last year.
Second Harvest said the recent pause in SNAP benefits put an added pressure on already struggling household as well.
