WREX — Drivers all over the country are hitting the road all over the country ahead of Thanksgiving.
AAA says 4.1 million people in Illinois are traveling for Thanksgiving with 3.7 million of them going by car.
“It's been super windy. We were expecting snow pretty much the whole way. So far it's been a little better than that,” said Phil and Sarah Drambarean from Indiana.
Even if you might already be at your holiday destinations, AAA says it's not a bad idea to make sure your car is in working order before hitting the road home.
“Last Thanksgiving holiday, we rescued over 600 stranded motorists nationally, and so we don't want you to be one of them. So to do anything to make sure you're going to get home safely, we recommend you doing,” suggests Molly Hart, AAA Spokeswoman.
