AVONDALE, AZ (AZFamily) — An unusual legal battle is unfolding in the West Valley. Jeannette Garcia, an Avondale City Councilmember , is accused of propositioning a man and kidnapping his 14-year-old daughter when he declined.
There are no criminal charges involved.
The father and his daughter filed the lawsuit anonymously under the aliases Father John Doe and Minor Jane Doe on Nov. 14.
According to the lawsuit, the alleged incident happened last November when Garcia was on the council and a Turning Point USA employee.
Father John Doe is reported to have worked for Garcia’s team for TPUSA.
He said coworkers went out to dinner to celebrate the elections.
