Rossville, GA-(WDEF-TV) Heritage had to play a full extra quarter to knock off Murray Co in the Ridgeland Thanksgiving tournament on Wednesday. The Generals won 55-51 in double overtime. Heritage enjoyed a 15-point lead early in the third quarter before the Indians battled back to take the lead in the fourth quarter. The Indians had a chance to win at the end of regulation, but Callan Ledford’s long three-pointer was off the mark.
With the score tied late in the first overtime period, the Indians Blaklee Ledford scored on a lay-up with two seconds left to give Murray Co the lead. But the basket was waived off on a charging call.
In the second overtime, Bailey Hollis made it 53-51 Generals on
a lay-up with roughly 40 seconds left. Torri Epps later added a pair of free throws to seal the
