The NBA Cup game between the New York Knicks and the Charlotte Hornets had little hype. It was clear that unless the Hornets played with some urgency, the Knicks would likely secure an easy win. And indeed, it was a blowout win for NY. Well, Jalen Brunson’s head might have hurt a little after the win, though.
Interestingly, during the game, Knicks forward Mikal Bridges decided to talk some trash to the crowd and the opposing bench after converting a layup off a steal. His taunting did not escape Hornets coach Charles Lee, which eventually led to a brief exchange after a timeout was called on the floor.
Not entirely sure what was said between them, but Bridges might have irked Lee with his actions. The Hornets were down for most of the contest, which may have contributed to Lee’s frustrat
