Hall of Famer Marshall Faulk is returning to his roots for his first head coaching job.
Faulk is set to take over as head coach at HBCU Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, according to multiple reports on Wednesday.
This will be his first head coaching job in college football as Faulk returns to his native Louisiana.
Faulk, who is from New Orleans, is getting the head coaching nod after his first season as a coach on the staff of fellow Hall of Famer Deion Sanders at Colorado.
Faulk had been offered college football coaching jobs in the past, but had turned them down before finally accepting a role on Sanders’ staff.
