DENVER (KKTV) - Colorado State Senator Faith Winter (D-Broomfield) died on Wednesday night in a crash on I-25.
South Metro Fire Rescue shared at around 6:20 p.m. that their crews and the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) were responding to a multi-vehicle crash on northbound I-25 near the Dry Creek Road exit, south of Denver. Our news partners at CBS Colorado reported seeing a large truck on its side in the middle of the road at the crash site, and said ACSO said one person had died in the crash.
Northbound I-25 was closed as crews responded, and as of this article’s last update, was still closed.
A spokesperson for the Colorado Senate Democratic Caucus said Winter‘s family identified her as the person who died in that crash.
