A ‘devoted’ granddad was killed in a collision with a Lamborghini outside of a primary school.
David Ward, 86, was driving a Vauxhall Viva on Crewe Road in Cheshire when the crash happened around 10am on Tuesday.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, with Cheshire Police confirming he suffered a fatal medical episode at the time of the collision.
His family said: ‘David was a devoted husband to Christine, a proud father of four, and a loving grandfather to seven.
‘He showed his love not through grand gestures, but through steady support, quiet wisdom, and the warm, reassuring kindness and humour he offered so naturally.’
They added he enjoyed ‘simple, peaceful moments, fishing by the water, tending to his garden, walking familiar paths and cycling with ease and freedom’.
