BBC Breakfast presenter Naga Munchetty delivered devastating news within minutes of Thursday's programme starting.

On November 27, Naga and co-host Charlie Stayt returned to screens to update audiences on UK and international developments.

However, just moments into the broadcast, Naga reported tragic developments from Hong Kong. On the evening of 26 November, it emerged that flames had engulfed seven blocks of a high-rise residential estate.

The number of fatalities has subsequently increased, with 279 individuals still unaccounted for at the time of the bulletin, marking the city's most devastating blaze in over 50 years.
