A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a man from the Midlands accused of stealing a cash machine from a Co-op store in a North East market town.

Thomas Cash was arrested following a burglary at the Co-op, in Main Street, Haltwhistle, in which an ATM machine, worth £14,000, was stolen, on Saturday, October 25.

He appeared before magistrates in Newton Aycliffe, on October 27, when the case was adjourned for four weeks and committed to Durham Crown Court.
