Macy’s annual Thanksgiving parade will kick off the holiday season in New York, as balloons, floats and marching bands fill the city's streets.
The festivities will begin at 8.30 a.m. ET and finish around noon. The 2.5-mile route will start on Manhattan’s Upper West Side at West 77th Street and Central Park West, heading south to Columbus Circle, turning east onto 59th Street, then continuing down Sixth Avenue, before finishing at Macy’s flagship store on Herald Square.
People wanting to watch the parade in person should aim to get there early , especially if they want to view the start, as space will be limited.
The parade will be broadcast nationally on NBC — hosted by Savannah Guthrie, Al Roker and Hoda Kotb — and can be streamed online on NBC’s Peacock service.
