Coronation Street legend Lynne Verrall has died in Paris aged 76 after a long illness. The soap star played Geraldine Spellman in the soap during her 50-year career on stage and screen.
Her agent Samantha Boyd said: “Lynne was always ready to try any role, to grow and learn and develop. She embraced life to the full,” industry magazine The Stage has reported. Her career included roles at London’s Royal Court and the Royal & Derngate in Northampton and on the small screen .
